No uploads. Your PDF is opened and processed entirely in your browser. The file's contents are never sent to us or anyone else.

What we do collect. An anonymous usage event — the operation performed (e.g. “split”) and a timestamp — sent to our /api/usage endpoint so we know the tool is being used. It contains no file data, no file names, no IP-based identity we retain, no account info.

Feedback you choose to send. The feedback page lets you send an anonymous comment, optionally with a 👍/👎 rating and the tool it’s about. It is sent only when you click send, and it carries no name, email or other contact details — so we can’t reply to it or tie it back to you. Please don’t include names, email addresses, file names or anything from your documents: what reaches us is just the comment, the rating, the tool, a coarse desktop/mobile bucket, and a timestamp.

No tracking. No advertising, no third-party analytics or tracking cookies. The only things stored locally are your theme preference, whether you’ve seen Merge’s reorder tip, and a note of when we last asked for feedback — none of it is ever sent anywhere.

By design. Processing happens locally because of how the tool is architected, not because of a promise we ask you to take on faith — there is simply no upload step.
