Split a PDF online — free and private
Split any PDF into separate files right in your browser. Your file never gets uploaded — all the work happens on your own device. Free, no sign-up, no catch.
Your files never leave your browser
There's no upload. When you open a PDF here, it's processed entirely on your device using WebAssembly — the bytes never travel to a server, so your documents stay yours. We collect only an anonymous count of how often the tool is used (which operation, and when) to know people find it useful. No file contents, no names, no accounts, no personal data.
No ads, no trackers
No ads. No third-party trackers. No cookies following you around. The only thing stored on your device is your light/dark theme preference.
Free, no catch
This is a free tool and it stays free. It costs almost nothing to run because there's no server doing the heavy lifting — your browser does. No paywall, no “pro” upsell, no watermarks on your output.
How it works
-
Drop in your PDF — Or click to choose one. It stays on your device.
-
Choose where to split — Drop cut markers between pages, or deselect pages you don't want.
-
Download — Get your split files (zipped if there's more than one). Done.
Built on open source
This tool is free to use (though the app itself is not open source). It's built on open-source software — including the qpdf engine that does the actual PDF work. See everything we stand on →
